Coach Bio: Coach Nick

Nick Pasquine

Nick was raised in New Port Richey, Florida, but has roots from the great state of Ohio. He has been active in sports for the majority of his life playing everything from golf to football in middle and high school, but recently CrossFit has become his favorite athletic activity. Nick attended the University of South Florida and received a degree in Social Science Education in 2010 and has always had a passion for teaching and helping others. He currently operates a small office moving company in the Clearwater area that specializes in refurbished office cubicles. He enjoys long walks on the beach and early 90’s romantic novels.

Nick found CrossFit like many of the other athletes at Manta Ray, through the very popular Groupon. After being very skeptical about the sport, he quickly became to love all the aspects of CrossFit from the community to the competitive nature, and of course the effects on his body. When he started CrossFit in early 2014 he weighed just under 235 pounds and was far from his once high school and college physique and more importantly health. With the help of Coach Chris and Coach Sebastian he changed all aspects of his unhealthy lifestyle and lost close to 50 pounds. CrossFit has helped change his life for the better and go from a skeptic in early 2014 to becoming CF L1 certified in early 2015. Nick is excited to begin coaching at Manta Ray and sharing his journey with current members and newcomers alike.
